GentleMax Pro laser treatment

The GentleMax Pro is a dual-wavelength medical laser that combines the Alexandrite laser (755 nm) with the Nd:YAG laser (1064 nm).
This non-invasive device precisely targets treatment areas without affecting surrounding tissues.

To enhance patient comfort, it features a Dynamic Cooling Device that sprays a cryogenic burst of cold air before each laser pulse, protecting the epidermis and minimizing discomfort.

The GentleMax Pro is a versatile technology designed for three main indications :

1. Laser Hair Removal
   • Suitable for all skin tones, from light to dark, using Alexandrite (755 nm) and Nd:YAG (1064 nm) wavelengths.

2. Vascular Laser Treatments

The GentleMax Pro emits light at a specific wavelength to deliver thermal energy to a targeted area.

• Melanin (the pigment in hair and dark spots) or hemoglobin (in red blood cells) absorbs the laser energy, which is converted into heat.
• This heat destroys hair follicles, blood vessels, or pigmented spots without damaging the surrounding skin.

The treatment is performed at Dr. Aimé’s aesthetic center in Antibes.

• Dr. Aimé examines the treatment area to ensure no lesions could interfere with the procedure.
• The laser handpiece is then moved over the skin, delivering the light beam.

Thanks to the Dynamic Cooling Device, the procedure is virtually painless, as the cooling system minimizes the sensation of heat.

Treatment sessions last 15 to 40 minutes, depending on the area and type of treatment. An soothing cream is applied afterward.

After the session, the treated area may appear slightly red, and pigmented spots may darken temporarily.
To optimize results and minimize side effects, follow these post-treatment recommendations :

• Use a gentle, neutral cleanser and pat the skin dry.
• Apply a soothing cream for 2 to 3 days if needed.
• Hydrate the skin regularly between sessions.
• Avoid sun exposure throughout the treatment period. If exposure is unavoidable, apply a high-SPF sunscreen.
• For laser hair removal, avoid plucking or waxing; shaving is allowed.
