Radiofrequency is an aesthetic treatment that utilizes high-frequency electromagnetic waves. Before starting treatment, Dr. Aimé conducts an initial consultation at her clinic. During this session, she will examine your skin and recommend the most appropriate approach based on your needs. This is also an opportunity to review your medical history and ensure there are no contraindications.

On the day of the session, the patient is comfortably positioned. A glycerin gel is applied to optimize the movement of the handpiece. Circular and linear motions are performed on the targeted area until the temperature reaches 42 to 45°C, depending on the indication. This temperature is maintained briefly and monitored throughout the session using an infrared detector.

The procedure is painless and pleasant, often described as a warm, relaxing sensation. Each session lasts approximately 20 minutes on average.

The use of Cristal Skin radiofrequency is contraindicated in the following cases :

• Presence of a pacemaker or other metallic implants
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Skin lesions in the treated area (e.g., irritation, melanoma, keloid scars)

This treatment requires no downtime. Patients can resume their usual activities immediately. Some redness may appear but will quickly fade.

Results depend on the treated area and the patient’s goals. Improvements may be noticeable after the first session, becoming more evident after 3 to 4 sessions. Typically, 6 to 10 sessions spaced 7 to 15 days apart are recommended. Collagen production continues for 2 to 3 months after the final session. Maintenance treatments every 4 to 6 months are advised for lasting results.
